Just looking at the image above again, did you cut the top & bottom peices off or just paint them white? Might be my eyes but I can kinda see an outline, or could that it be just dirt?
I dunno why but I still like your old lights

lol both the tailgate and the front bumper have a reccess for the badge.. i guess fiting things correctly was a problem in the early 90's lol i did cut the bits of, it looks MEAN in real life ay (bat symbol anyone? hehe)
i miss those lights, but they are taking shape in to the new ones im making and i had a look at ADR, looks like the new ones will be (or would be) ADR approved, as the 3W LED bulbs generate enough lumens to surpass the minimum requirements by quite a bit. and they are still way of the max as well so yeah im happy got some reflectors of ebay (didnt realise i got the wrong ones lol but i might be able to salvage lol) |

ok so little update
i bought all that i need now, taillight housings are starting to take shape.. this is funny cus i was gonna only do the headlights but this has completly consumed me at the moment.. im even thinking of making moulds of the taillights so that i can make more of them.. but i dont think i would be selling anything (more so that i can fix it up incase of accident) if i finish glassing 2moro i will take a few sneak pics. the lights are gona be a 3 part thing so without the lighting pannel and covers housing itself wont make much sense.. there will be about 5kg of bondo on them haha (thats a joke ) so yeah keep u all posted reason y this is taking so damn long is cus a i dont have that much time nor the tools b its a lot more complex than i thought it would be Last edited by 70NYD; 07-04-2010 at 05:23 PM. |

finally found a few minutes to take and upload a photo of the new shifter arrangement. i love it, its what i was after this whole time, and the gearknob i found was perfect as it almost directly fit over the fat part of the shift stick. i had to hone out 1mm from the adapter sleeve (aluminum sleeve the length of a gearbox with a thread and a few grub screws) and after that it fit right on the knob just screws down as much or as little as u want and there is a 3rd part which is allu ring that screws up to meet the knob and secure it on that height. the knob is black chrome and its mild steel im guessing as it is fairly heavy for its size

that "piece of chinese sht" that cost me around 2-3 hundred 2 years ago is still going strong
forgot to mention the overall drop in height from my old shift knob to this one (including me hacking the top of the stick of) is 1.5" or there about |
