my output will be for the VICS. it is vacuum actuated (well loss of vacuum actually), but it still wont open unless the soleniod allows it to. the lack of vacuum is what opens it, the soleniod allows it to open.

i think we could spread a GB over a month or two. the main part will be going to them and say we have 5 (or whatever) confirmed buyers, here is a small deposit , now gimme gimme gimme! obviously they couldnt fit and tune 5 cars all at once, so just as long as we give the deposits all at once, we can individually arrange when to have the fitting and tuning

Speaking to them is not going to hurt so at least we know what works best for all involved as my tuning will be later than the others for some reason you cant tune an engine thats out of the car with parts missing

Archies Normal tune price is $250 (Although Mine was not tuned by him). Microtechs from microtech themselves are $1050, and you can get them for under $1000 for LT8s. Ie: The Mazfix installation price is $650.

I'd be getting together one day together and fit them all yourselves. They are a piece of piss to put in. Every wires is labelled and the manual tells you everything.

Also watch out that Mazfix does not lock your MT so that you can't change things yourslef.

Oh, I highly recommend the MT - Don't great for me powerwise and with fuel economy.

when you say their install price is $650, i assume that's the price for the ecu when you pay for installation? any idea what would be their best install price?

how would everyone think about a big install weekend? then we'd just drive slowly and carefully to get them dyno tuned.

and MT? what's that?

also, i know microtech uses map sensors, but can they be tuned with maf's?

i'ld be interested, if we could save a few $$$ it would be good. but would have to be close to where we gonna get the car's dyno tuned.

you'd be the safest out of all of us as i'm sure microtech would have tested their base maps heaps of times on the BP engine, but i vote pete's place. heaps of room to move and not far from my place to i can bring my tools if required

Hey I have an idea how about I offer my place for all the fitting, theres heaps of room to move and Its not far from Andys so he can bring his tools if needed, and its not far from Nateys so he can come along for a laugh (as he usually does).
Plus for those who may wish to be swapping to their Lightweight Crank Pulley by then I have just purchased a new Harmonic Balancer Puller set and I spent another $150 for a Powerbar Hand Impact Wrench for undoing the crank pulley bolt in hard to reach places so Andy and Gav if you have the backing plate sorted by then you may be able to fit these also. I do have a phone number for a friend of Kurts who should be able to laser-cut the backing plate as well

LT-8 is the Laptop version. The MT-8 you have to use the hand controller. I got the LT8s with the digidash and the little unit to save your maps

i'd want everyone to pay a deposit (and be locked in) by say 20 may.

dont forget that doesnt mean you'd get it done straight away, it's just a lock in so you can get it done within a month or two from there

Do we have any more info on price and time without car? I know when I spoke to Archie from Mazfix last year he was very enthusiastic about the idea of it all, where a couple other shops were blasé at best... I'm all for Mazfix for this reason, and a certain other one.
