The melbourne guys won't be surprised when I say I prefer bare feet.
Driving with shoes sucks. Its like wearing a condom. |

i hate driving to school because i have to wear big leather shoes
which i cant squeeze past the clutch to get to the footrest easily. im afraid that if i had to suddenly clutch i'd be in a bit of a jam driving around normally is converse all stars (not hightop ) and beach is thongs but i take them off to drive

A pair of old black/white Vans, or some white Cons. Or a pair of zipped leather boots if i have to go dressy.
Or my Family Guy thongs.

Can you get told off (i.e. by the cops) for driving in thongs, coz they can get caught under the pedals?

check the driving offences/road laws. inappropriate footwear is in there. guess its at the discretion of the officer, like running amber lights.
(wow this thread grew quick)

AFAIK you have to take thongs off as the back of them gets caughts jams up the peddle and foot, aand they are supposed to be put behind your seat or in the passenger foot well.
i love driving barefoot or my skate shoes, hate my work shoes soles are thick cant feel the clutch very well so i either stall it or chirp it, which is very easy when you tend to stop on white lines a lot lol

Interesting, so they'd prefer you to drive barefoot than in thongs, I wouldn't think they'd like barefoot either I suppose it's less of a hazard though.

I got a bit disappointed when I opened this thread to find it not what I was expecting...
I thought some other kick-obsessed person had started a thread to show off their new shoes My contribution, though, I like my Nike SB's for anything
