Tried to take pictures but just looked like crap in the darkness. Took it for a run to see how it hancles the heat and no leaks. YAY!

Spent an hour killing all the rattles I haven't had time to fix. Now I can hear the sound of my intake in peace

Started to put the engine back together today.

New waterpump, thermostat, timing belt, altenator belt, cam gears and B spec cams.

Broke one of the bolts putting the exhaust cam in so I need to get it out before I start the beast and test the cams.

Do you need to run an aftermarket ecu for the cams or will it run of stock?

They should run on a stock ECU although aftermarket would be better. Problem is Victorian laws prohibit aftermarket ECUs.

Hmm interesting. Sucks about the vic rules, any reason why they do that?

B spec cams shouldn't require a ecu change, as they are both 255/8.8 for in+ex.
although the injecter i see in the pics are 30cc bigger than regular BA injectors.

Put together my switchblade keyfob. Very meh in my book . 'Lock' and 'Unlock' keys are very notchy, and the spring for flicking out the key is virtually useless.

Also re-glued my audio panel in - third times a charm . Will take pics for the project worklog tonight.

Just have to re-paint the engine cover and then I can get cracking on the intake manifold

Finished putting my engine back together, almost.
Need to buy a new belt for the P/S and A/C and put the splash cover back on.
Heat appears to be nica and stable and the idle doesn't sound like it did

To get the spring working on your switchblade you have to half assemble it then do about 2 and a half turns of the unit with the spring in place before you screw it together.
It is really fiddly but makes it work much better.

If the buttons feel funny its most likely the donor remote is worn or the buttons are catching, try some dry lube or similar on the edges of the plastic

Mine works fine!

Agreed, once i wound mine right i use it exclusively, though i need to open it up again and make some adjustments if possible to tighten the area around the hinge as there a bit of movement other than the open close.

Im guessing this is why I had a call at 2, sorry man, was driving on the highway with a red commodore next to me with 2 uniforms in it , didnt wanna take the risk

I ended up using blu-tak spread over the whole area to hold the keyfob keys & chip in, and when setting the spring, did a full 3-4 turns then assembled (making sure the key actually flicked out
