Mazda will eventually be fixed, but its not a high priority.
The plan is get the wags running/looking/driving respectable so that I can park the mazda and get what it needs done all in one go...

I reckon forget the plates and put it towards getting the astina fixed. The cost of the plates would get your door fixed at the very least

our bj2 took 20 months to get back on the road but was never forgotten or rushed resulting in a far better vehicle than before the tree jumped out in front of us the bluebird will let him make the sp20 a far better car with the right amount of time to do a thorough job looking forward to the end result marc good luck

And as far as mods go there isn't much left you can do to your car (except internal engine mods) It took me a while to get my car fixed but thats because I had other major issues after the bus incident (namely I tried to teach my car to swim) but its all better now and about to get some major TLC in the next few weeks. |

WEll abviously you don't require Jocks or Undies but then again I'm single - can't have unfasionable stained undies - or thongs
but I have to say - Plates cool. Wheels NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I love the Hub caps Sorry but for me HUB CAPS sickness - Genuine cool as for the SP20 - it's just a car. The Bluey is a classic in it's own right. I gareentee in pub drive one clean out side one - more will go - I remember when they came out or I had one or who and this had one. maybe one or two lines and it's I remember when I blew away some kids in a SP20 iun my SSS. ( Yes I have written it to spite all SP20 owners as a Joke ) Oh if you need an bits of electrical for that model car - let me know I know a guy who proberly have a few special spares left over from his days of ownership. |

So it seems plans for rims & all those other parts just wasnt meant to be.. One of the rims has a dent in on the lip (still holds air) and those parts were sold so the plan of attack now is to put a rebuild kit through the nikki carb, and respray the trx wheels.
So today I purchased a carby rebuild kit, 1.5" lowering block kit for the rear, and put a bid on some rear shocks. I also completely stripped the windscreen shade ready for paint!

So this afternoon I attacked the sunshade with a couple cans of paint, should look good once on
Also received my lowering blocks, got her super fast considering I only paid for them yesterday and they were shipped from Melbourne! Threw a chrome exhaust tip on so that it hides the original piping... And last but not least, won an auction on Ebay for some brand new rear shocks for $80, bargain! Next on the list is front shocks, and purchase some cheap 15" tyres as the 2 chunky ones that are on the TRX wheels are cracked & 8yo = not safe! Cheers Marc

Just a small update:
Had a look at my rear leaf springs, and they are already pretty flat, so either they have already been reset or they are borked, and im kinda thinking the latter Also, I have been able to source some Twin SU's and manifold suit rebuild for $100 + postage from Gladstone, so the bloke is currently finding out postage costs, but considering they go for upwards of $500 just for the carbs, its a bargain! Happy days ahead...

Got a big box of packaging this afternoon :P
which also included my new addition to the stockpile - some Twin SU's Will look at getting these rebuilt ASAP, so that I can get the car driving again before Christmas Also did up the sums at how much the car has cost me in the past 14 months, and was a little surprised: Car: $300 TRX wheels: $200 radiator: $50 Stereo: $250 Seat covers/dice: $40 Steering wheel & Boss: $80 Chrome dress rings: $60 Headers: $90 Sunshade: $50 Front springs/shocks: $50 Lowering Blocks: $60 Rear Shocks $86 Twin SU's: $140 = $1456! And a lot more to come yet Cheers Marc

yeah I got it all, including a new filter as well
Undecided if I wanna repaint the intake orange, or go a black crinkle, or just run a couple couples
