ABOUT: Vehicle Mods And Code of Practice
Many of us always ask what is legal and what is not. half the time we are confused as to what information we are fed the truth or not. today i decided to compile some documents that are free from the state government.
[NATIONAL] National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification [QLD] All About Modifications To Motor Vehicles Vehicle Inspection Guideline (This is straight from the RWC book itself) Code of Practice - This one is dated back to 1998 but has about 300 pages of information with modifying and ADR Once we can gather the other documents from the other states i think we should sticky this Also. Rules and regulations should always be checked if there are updates P.S. no idea where to put this...

That first link is very cool, I just spent 20 mins reading through it. It sounds like we can have roll cages as long as they dont impede vision and all edges are smooth.

Added "National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification"
there are other links for "national" and "qld" but i think this is more than enough to understand the modifications you are allowed to do.
