Removing paint

I scraped a pole today. Now there's yellow paint on the car. What is the most effective way of removing the paint (the paint from the pole not the car paint)?I have tried car wax and diluted acetone. Neither work. Any suggestions?

perhaps a heavy duty car polish?

Poish will only make it look all shiny and pretty, you want cutting compound.

ok the paint has been removed! i used dishwashing detergent with a old worn out scour. worked a treat!
hmm now i gotta remove the dent. When removing the front quarter panel, do i need to remove the front bumper as well (BG astina)?

where is the dent? if its on the wheel arch then you might get away with just removing the plastic inner liner from the arch.
failing that then yes its a front bumper removal job. or you might just be able to remove the fixing for the bumper on that side without completely removing the bumper.
good luck
