if the block is rusty inside, then remove them and hot tank the block to clean it

Options with gauge mounting?
Doesn't seem to be much... I would like the double pillar... But firstly... I have 60mm gauges, and secondly the full pillar's are for LHD not RHD.

The column pod would be ok too.. But I think it would be a bit expensive with shipping.
I have a double DIN head unit... So there goes that option...
I was thinking about doing something custom... But I don't want to cut my dash and would rather not use my time lol.

So my question is... What's available?

I reallllllyyyyy hate cups with stands taped to the dash... So that's not an option.

I spoke to cam @ plr about this yesterday when I dropped off my block. I already have plugs, and with the blown HG it was a bit yucky inside. So for $100 it'll be like New. Seemed worthwhile imo. He said that it doesn't matter about surface rust, as all motors will have some unless coolant has been used and changed properly and the motor hasn't been sitting for more than a few days. As long as nothing is corroded.

if you had 52mm gauges, another option is to replace the gauge cluster bezel with a custom one that has a pod for one gauge on each side

Yeah, unfortunately not 52... Might just be easier to get a spare bezel and some 60mm gauge cups and do a quick glass job and paint.
Alternatively... I wouldn't mind wmoving ash tray and little hidey hole thingy then moving all my aircon controls down. And JB the new space between the aircon and head unit fit the gauges... But that's even more work. Lol.

Or I just thought of using a universal twin pillar mount and a little bit of glass... Tiny bit of bog, and a quick paint may be the quickest easiest option.

So I have a broken drivers side engine mount and have been looking around for replacement options, and been looking at AWR ones as well.
I'm a little confused though because none of them look like the OEM mount. Which one is it that i need?
http://store.awrracing.com/transmiss...-2003-protege/
http://store.awrracing.com/products/...nger-Side.html
http://store.awrracing.com/motor-mounts/
Im also looking at getting the mount inserts as well just to stiffen it up a little more.
Help please?

as I explained to you by PM:
US passenger side = YOUR driver side

the aftermarket performance mounts don't look the same because they're NOT rubber and thus a different design!

I also told you that inserts won't do you any good until you have good motor mounts... you have a broken one... it's not going to fix anything!

do you understand yet, or do I have to explain a 3rd time?

Geez man... Relax!

I think he wants to buy a replacement mount... And then get inserts for the rest of the mounts for extra stiffening.

Those are factory mounts, AWR does not sell them... aftermarket stock replacements are made/available from various parts factors at varying quality and prices

wrong side mate... that is for the gearbox (driver side) mount
it is not for the passenger side mount

Either way it's going to require me doing something custom.
Cool.
Some food for thought then

I said "my" passenger side mount meaning american drivers side.

Basically im meaning a new drivers side mount for me, and inserts in my passenger side mount to strengthen it.

Would it be a good idea to replace my rear and front mounts at the same time as well?

I thought you're planning to get rid of the car and want to spend as little money as possible?

changing the rear mount is a royal PITA

but if you want to shake the fillings in your teeth loose, go ahead and replace all your mounts for the AWRs
