Key reminder alarm....
I want to remove the annoying alarm that keeps beeping when you shut down the motor and the key is still in the ignition.
I was under the dash, around the fuse box area, on the weekend, as I installed a new alarm, and I know the Alarm,(piezo) is down there somewhere, but not exactly sure where???? Any Ideas?? Car is a 97 BA 1.8 Cheers MILO

There is usually a terminal attached to the key barrel (At least in the BJ and other makes of cars I've disabled it). Simply unplug the wire on this and you should never need to be annoyed again!

Yep, there's a little white plug on the underside LHS of your steering column - just near the adjustment lever. Just undo it.
You can also lose the seatbelt one by unplugging the one under the drivers seat, but that might mess with your airbag sensors then as i would imagine they're connected.

james (platypus) removed the beeping in his slowtege BJI. There should be a post on here or on ozmazdaclub.com or protege5.com with a "how-to".

Please do a search people.
I posted this (with dodgy pics) almost two years ago. Xedos, please tell me that the search facility has not been disabled.
