BG light pop up switch broken

Is this a common problem for the BG?
both the dash surrounds I have the screw mounts are broken for the pop up light switch, I've used longer screws in one and the switch now sticks out a bit more than normal and it's not real strong as the screw mounts are crumbly

Seems the plastics are not very good, a couple of the mounting screw holes on the same surround are also cracked/broken

You could try an epoxy/putty and re-drill the holes.

Mine has the opposite problem, the button is too far pressed in so to use it you have to gently prod the thing.
