If it's anything like the SP20, there is little knotches on the edges where you can fit a VERY small flat bladed screwdriver in to help you pop it out.

Correct. Use a rag or something to wrap around the screwdriver to prevent damaging the plastic.

so today i test fitted my friends 17X8.5 +35 wheels with 235/45 tyres lol
and even then not alot of room for camber in the rear which is a worry but more then that i was gonna daily these and where i work the roads arnt the greatest and speed humps so many speed humps so the ssr's will be sold and gonna go and cry in the corner.
so some smaller wheels and tyres 17X7 with some sticky road legal slicks for track and drag days
function>form
so stay tuned for engine build and heaps of suspension work
fyi tyre is inline with edge of rim

You should seriously look into buying that rare set of good condition Mazda speed/racing hart/enkei rims that rupe has. Can't remember what size... But they are 17x7 I think. And the bronze/gold would look extremely nice against the blue.

I was sooo close to buying that set... Only think that stopped me was I just put new tyres on mine

DO IT!!

yep, 17x7 +55
Slap some 10mm hubcentrics on and be done!
Look the goods, top quality rims (that's for sure), and functional
