Mazda Kabura Concept

Mazda KABURA, a compact sports coupe, is a concept car designed at Mazda’s design center in California. KABURA is the third design concept vehicle from Mazda following Mazda SASSOU (designed at Mazda’s European Design Center) and Mazda SENKU (designed at Mazda’s Yokohama R&D Center near Tokyo), each reflecting the global influences that Mazda chief designers can draw from.

With a compact body, the Mazda KABURA sports coupe is a vehicle that combines the pleasures of sports car driving with functionality. With a rear-drive powertrain that elicits dynamic styling and a wide range of utilities on board, it was designed for first new car buyers who love to drive. KABURA is a concept car that embodies the highest elements of Mazda’s Zoom-Zoom ethos.

“KABURA” is a Japanese term taken from “Kabura-ya”, an arrow that makes a sound when fired and was used to signal the start of a battle. The “first arrow into battle” depicts Mazda’s spirit of pursuing unique and exciting ventures.

I like it. Maybe a little too much 350Z in the side profile tho.

I like it. It looks a little like the 350ZX but beastlier.

I'd like to see the air ducts under the lights finished in black, fark off those ghey headrests, and the clear bonnet strip is cool. Clear grill is too strange for me, didn't like it on the VP1 commonwhore either...

Hahah.. you have that DVD too obviously where they changed all the logo's and dialogue from "Taco Bell" to "Pizza Hut", if you look carefully they missed one!

I kinda like this.. Apparently the roof lifts up a little to provide downforce. I'd like to see that in action. The idea of the passenger seat sitting 15cm further forward and eliminating the glovebox so the rear passenger has more room is a funky idea.. Even though it has a 2lt engine, i hope that Mazda make it more performance oriented and make it substantially powerful. Afterall, it has to move those 19" wheels across the tarmac. I really like the aggressive [RX-8ish] front quarter panels.. Makes the whole appearance of the car look even more low slung and fat [and phat!].

Yes I never got that with Pizza Hut. I thought when a company paid for
product placement in a movie it was theirs. Unless Pizza Hut bought Taco Bell and decided
they preferred the PH brand be shown. The voice over looks crap too.
I love the see through bonnet that will be a bitch keeping clean.
