Bikingpro5s build.. now supercharged

in the beginning, the day the car was brought home.

then i decided i wanted something different with my car, where i live we mostly have Honda's, domestic cars and lifted trucks. the Mazda scene here when i started modding the car was really non-existent. Started collecting parts over the winter with the sole purpose to be in the first show of the new in April.

with all the new parts the car was also getting a fresh paint job.

along with the fresh paint, i was getting the rust issues fixed and hopefully taken care of since the car will never see another winter of driving.

about 2 weeks before the show the car was in primer and the time had come for paint. the owner of the shop that we were using decided that we were no longer welcome and i had my car towed to my shop.

so we have 2 weeks till the show, the money has already been spent for the hotel, car trailer and the time booked off. so we decided to make due with what we had and get the car into the show to prove we do not need a fancy shop.

and against all odds with only 3 day old paint we managed to get the car to the show and win the category we were in plus get an award for the paint.

so once the first show was out of the way i decided to take a small break and relax and enjoy the car.

all in total i attended 10 major shows in 2010 and put over 15k km on the car in 4 months.

end of the 2010 season, the car goes back into the garage for the winter and more changes are planned.

thanks winter does suck its 5-6 months that I'm not driving the car, but i make good use of it changing things and adding new things. IMO if i did not store the car it would not look the way it does now. I also waited 2 years to finally find the msp lip that you now see on the car.

Lookin good!

May be a silly question but why do you have to put her away for the winter? Is it just because of heavy snow and such?

Thank you, I really like the carbon fiber flows into the black roof as well. The mirriors, hood, spoiler, grill and rear valance are all Carbon fiber some of which has been painted blue on the sides to flow better.

If it was just snow I would not be too worried, its the salt that they use on the roads that's really hard on the cars. With so much aluminum on the car now in the suspension and bracing as well as under hood I do not want to risk the chance of corrision. Coilovers are also not the best as far as comfort once it gets cold either.

After the first real rain in April that washes the last of the salt away, there are many of us that can't wait to get the cars out of the garage. Especially when you change thinga on them over the winter. Its like driving your car for the first time all over again.

We really are lucky in oz, can drive all year round must be a good feeling when you get it out and take it for the first drive with all the changes after winter

Yes I'm jealous since I only get half a year to enjoy the great weather and the car. It should be a great first drive again this year as the plan right now is to add a supercharger to the car over the winter and adjust the suspension for a more functional ride height.

Very nice! Love the timber floor in the boot! Gives me ideas!

What do you do in winter? Drive other cars around that you don't care about?
