EOI: [AUS] BG Tinted Perspex Sunroof

Hey Everyone,

A very surprising amount of people have sparked interest in the clear sunroof that i have on my Astina, i almost had a dutch auction going for it. So, in saying that and having so much interest in the sunroof i was thinking of getting a few made and have a Group Buy.

Just before i do i would be interested to know how much people would pay a sunroof package, delivered?

This is for all the people with 1989 -1994 Mazda Astina 323 SP. It can also be delivered Australia wide too!

In these pics below are mine if anyone would like to have a look. Sorry about the quality, i thought i might just get a few snap to give people an idea of what it looks like. I have a 5% tint on mine, i find that is perfect as it keeps the heat out and prevents the sun from blinding me when I'm driving. If your worried about how to fit it and install it, rest assured, i have a written a full manual with pictures about how to fit it! When it rains, it acts like a normal sunroof, you shut it and it keeps the water out (well, i hope) same goes for this one No LEAKS!

If your interested post up here or PM me with a rough price on what you would be willing to pay.

Thanks,
Dan

Seal? good point. It looks great but i am suspecting that it may cause problems down the track with water residing there etc. But in the mean time spray everything with fishoil and let the stench wear away. It should give your body work a bit more protection.

it has a seal around it like the original sunroof....anything is better then taking rust out of your original twice a year...

Well, its been on there about 4 years now, and there is no sign of rust anywhere. The reason the metal stock ones rust is because there is not enough air flow over the unit causing water to sit. If you think back to when (if) you got rust on the unit, it would most likely be winter, when its cold and there is damp weather. I don't know about you, but i dont open the roof in winter much (maybe once or twice) but in summer its always open

Im headin' to the Gold Coast tomorrow to get some prices so keep tuned kiddies!

Cheers,

Dan

Hi folks,

I just signed up with astinagt purely to express my interest here!

after googling around trying to find out what people replace the standard rusty sunroof with I came across this thread!

One problem though... I'm in Perth. I imagine shipping will cost an arm and a leg to get one over here.

Ok guys,

For me to order this we are going to have to get at least nine (9) perspex roofs made. The best price point is to order nine of them at once, so we have to have aleast nine people per order!

Can we do this guys?

Price will be coming shortly.. The mob i am dealing with are extremely busy. It will most likely be around 200ish + postage. Damn good price!!

Thanks,

Dan

If I could get insured postage to Perth for less than 50 bucks you can count me in.

I've got absolutely no idea what that would cost though
