Some things you should really think about it and take your time .

Well,

I got a little to happy when one of my spare headlights was easy so i thought i try my taillights thats on the car and got a little to happy and let it in the oven a little bit to long (you know it was about 10-15seconds so anyone that trys it be VERY CAREFUL WITH TIME !)

Anyways - the results the plastic warpped and i dont have to tell you how i ****ing felt :

So TAKE YOUR TIME and dont think everything is gooding/excellent cause thats what i thought, 10-15seconds to much and crap happens.

Now gotta find a tail light.

Longer time at a lesser heat is the key.

Had it at 170 heat and was in the oven at 6min and wrapped, my head light was in the for 5.40sec's and was fine, and thought it would have been fine but I must have mis-cauculated or that 20 did something.

What do you guys set the oven at and how long ? Cause I thought my timing was right .

Headlights are glass, taillights are not

I used to do it about about 80-100° for 15 minutes. A slow heat gets right through it and doesn't warp anything - even with all-plastic taillights. Plus i'd check it every 5 minutes.

I actually did it for 170C Instead of 170F (which should be roughly 80C)

Well, this time i did the proper temp for the oven and still having troubles, its a very hard tail-light to work with the galant ones.

Anyways after my first attempt, i kinda got one done and the other a total mess (pictures in the first post) so after about two weeks the one that i kinda done, i thought id wet it and see if it leaks inside, and it dones, so i basically used a special glue around the whole edge of the tail-light, hopefully that will do the trick, will see once it dry's.

So i purchased another set and thought if i do these 2 right, then everything will work out.

I started on one, and its honestly impossible without cracking it alittle (the galant tail-lights, dunno if astina are that bad too) did everything super slow and careful and i still damage it, it has like a 2cm grove that go's in and the egde are angled so make it hard to put off.

It took 1 hour just to remove one tail-light without trying to damage it more, anyways got it done with little damage, but then once i started on the other tail-light it damaged and would come out, but lucky the one that came out okay in this one is the oppisite to the one that came out okay in my first attempt haha

So now i used the special bond glue on the edges, hopefully once it drys, it shouldnt leak, will take a picture of them once they are dry'd, and gotta try to buff the tail-light as i had to use a metal spounge on the tail-light to clean off some of the glue.

Is there something you can buy to do that ? i know there is one for plastic headlight, im guessing the tail-light should be okay using the same product ?

Sorry guys if i bored you with this message haha, very frustrating these tail-lights.
