the plastic bit ive circled is what broke causing the car to dumb its coolant straight out the back mechanic reconds the idle was just the load coming off the engine from the leaking connector pipe $25 from mazda for whats only really 3 inchs of plastic but thats better than a new head haha they also said the tappets were pretty loud so asked me yesty if it was ok for a oil and filter change using 15w-40 instead of 10w-30 and now the car has never sounded better really happy now also the when i went to pick it up it was parked next to something very special its the owners mustang which rarely ever comes out but hes one heaps of tropheys and other stuff with it. also it runs 10 sec passes which is cool |

that is good news about your car. yeah 10W-30 is just too thin for the age of the car.
--- I did a 10L splash and dash at the servo today. Haven't fuelled up in 6 weeks. Just concerned about fuel going off. Washed both 3 and 323. Brought $70 worth of brake fluid. Last edited by project.r.racing; 23-03-2011 at 08:56 AM. |

deal
and congrats Gav oh what i did today. when i got back home from work, and my mum got home (my work is only like 20 min away with heavy traffic, and i finish at 430 FTW) i hada look at the BA as there was a crackling/clicking/grinding noise coming from the front left wheel area. i drove it around and figured out it does it even when stationary. so then it was easy to find it by ear when i was next to the wheel and she turned the steering. my top bush (between the spring and perch) is deminished (or dry, it was dark) but thats where the noise is coming from. il lube it up on the w/e and see how long it lasts, perhaps i can do it once a week till new ones come in, then its overhaul time |

Serviced the Mazda 3 today. Fun job.
On Monday, Dad's BA 323 went under in the floods. On Tuesday the trooper started again after drowning. Yesterday it got stuck in neutral. Today, the poor thing is sounding very sick. Car is going through insurance. Another dead 323.

Haven't been on here in a while since little bubs was born but yesterday got hit up the bum in bardon. Good thing is we were all safe and he has full comp insurance. dropping it off at the smash repairers tomorrow and will see how much extra it will be to get the bonnet and front bumper painted as well. It will be good to have a car all the same colour.

Well no suspension goodies for me. Stuck on flogged shocks and worn bushes thanks to all my engine and gearbox mounts being ****ed. Gonna cost me $1000 just to get the shifter fixed and the mounts all replaced. **** my life. And now my mother wants me to trade the car because it's too much hassle. Yeh, great, get maybe $1000 trade-in when it's got a $6000 gearbox, BPT transplant and too much other **** to mention. She can go to hell.
