when i put my ss i had to bend the heat shield a bit to stop the rubbing and rattling. Everything is sweet now.

Im with you Arden my gear knob heats up when flogging. Makes it worst cause i have a chrome TWM knob which generates the heat. Its not a pain in the arse but you do notice it.

Chicaboo at the rate your doin to the sp18 project you may as well turn it into a Sp24 project

Actually I found that the stock setup was a little difficult to grab first too, but the K4RT30Y bushings made that better, but then the TWM has put me back where I started plus it's tighter again throughout... The throw is extremely short but it sits at a very good height and looks great!
Ummm, one of those many resonators is now clapping against the lowered heatshield under the shortshifter when the engine shakes enough. For those who don't know, the higher pivot point on the shifter mean u need spacers to lower the heatshield between the shifter and the exhaust... In the meantime this is not too bad and will remedy itself when I clamp the header to the engine and fix the engine mounts when I get the right tools...
I've taken the plastic strips off my doors too, this takes a little time and elbow grease but the results are worth it. If I had a camera I'd put pics up...
The sideskirts will be going on on the 4th May, now I could do these myself with uerethane and hope that I do it correctly, but then I have no recourse. But since I'd only be using uerethane I probably cant' really go wrong either. I've got a couple of weeks to think about it in any case...
Now there's not much more I can do with the car until my crank pulley arrives or I've sold the not-so-gay-these-days auto. And then I will be getting a 20% tint on the side windows and 35% tint on the two front and rear windows, with a windscreen banner tint where my AGT sticker will sit prouldy infront of.
I do have some colour chips on the way for some interior vinyl treatments. They should arrive next week, and from there I will decide what colour/finish I will get to deck my interior out with...
I've my GT black slip-on seat covers in there too, But I still need to get the interior cleaned/detailed before it's as good as the auto's was.

That's all for now,
Gav.

Gav any tips on removing the side strips on the doors?
im thinking about doin it as well considering i have a black sp20 if its a **** job ill forget it.

cheers

Huh? Is that good or bad?

Anyhow, for the door strippy things use a strong fishing line, I only had 12lb line doubled over and it broke a couple of times on the first door, so I reverted to just peeling them off on the remaining 3 doors. Why did I do that??? It turns out if I had stronger fishing line it would've been the way to go. But what happens is the fishing line lets you get close to the door and leaves very little sticky **** behind, so you can pretty much just hit the door with with wax and grease remove then polish it... On the other 3 doors I spent quite a deal of time picking off the excess goo.

Engine mount/exhaust hanger fix, fit sideskirts again, window tint, AGT windscreen sticker, fit steering wheel, interior vinyl, underdrive pulley/crank sensor mod, exhaust cam/adj. cam gears, and then microtech.
I might try some other digital fuel tuning for the interim their too?

unless you want to get a first hand look at what your air bag does ... and loose limbs in the process ... i have seen pictures of a dude that was working with his head against the wheel and the air bag went off ... took something else with it

but then again i have seen pics of a bloke who wasnt wearing a helment and came off at 120km/h and slide on his face ... he lived ... pitty the entire lowxer half of his face no longer exsists

I have been told not much involved in re installing air bag wheels, but I would try to do it from out side the car at the very least.

I would get a shop to do it, or atleast someone who has done it. before so many little sensors and ****.

those things are dam powerfull but probably not all that hard to install if ya know what your doing and you have seen it done before.
Can't imagine it would cost a lot compard to the danger to yourself if you are a little unsure of things and the replace of a new wheel if you pull through OK.

Anyone seen Final Destination 2?

Safe side,

My uncle bought a full face helmet to replace a skull cap style one and went for a spin on his bike to test it out, 1-2km later a taxi pulled out no blinker,

He ground down about 1-2 cm of hard plastic from the chin area. Had some neck issues afterwards but atleast he got the chance to have issues afterwards.
You should read his injury list from his bikes, comparable to Matt Hoffman.

Put the CAI on yesterday, I'm not sure it's made any percievable difference to power, but the exhaust note has changed and may be more willing in the higher range initially. After the ECU learns the new change I guess it should gain or refine some power in the next couple of weeks?
Next on the list is fix the rattling heatshield under the short shifter.
