Blast pipes on sp20
Hey guys iv been searching for weeks and weeks to se If anyone has made blast pipes for there sp20. Iv got a mazspeed axel back now but I hate the tip on it and was thinking of chopping it off and putting 2x 2" shotgun tips on it. But I don't really wanna chop it coz I could sell it. If anyone has made some and has a video or picture of it would be awesom to see cheers

On www.clubroadster.net there is a "show us your home made exhuast" thread with a few good pics of twin blast pipe setups. Its miata related but might be good inspiration for you.

to be honest I have only ever had 1 car that sounded decent with blast pipes and that was a s15 I think it will sound like ass on a sp20

There okay but IMO you need a mid mounted muff and use the pipes as a resonator in an effect.
looks okay on some cars. but others look weird. |

Iv seen one in the states with it and it dose look good. Better then the gay mazspeed axel back iv got now anything is better then a cannon tip. And it will have res and muffler not gonna be strait threw. And the mazda motor is pritty much the same as an SR20 and they sound very similar

How about a tucked muffler and just 2.25"/2.5" pipe extending out the back? Or tucked straight through muffler and supertrapp hanging out the rear?
With a supertrapp you can 'tune out' different resonant frequencies by adding or subtracting plates at the rear of muffler. It'd be different. |
