BG astina issue

Hi guys i apologise if this has been covered already and also if im posting this in the wrong place but pretty new to this. I have a 89 astina turbo pretty much stock from what i can see, its running the bp26 gtx ecu and has a 3 inch exhaust with cat hollowed out. Ive been having issues and its a bit hard to explain without actually showing you but basically when driving if i try to accelorate hard it starts breaking down and backfiring but if i ease off the pedal it slowly gets better and better and eventually starts pulling as hard as it should normally. its a big problem and hard to work around and im hoping somebody can point me in the right direction as to why its doing it and how to fix it. its not throwing any error codes and ive found it runs rich down low and leans out higher in the rev range if that helps in anyway. any help would be much apreciated.

Hi,

welcome to Astina GT

first thing i would do is check your timing with a timing light. sounds like it could be to car advanced. next thing to do is check all your leads, and spark plugs. if they are all in good working order (not burnt or broken in anyway) i would sugest you have a fuel issue. but lets start of easy. check the above first then let us know how you went

also some photos of this turbo bg would be awesome i had a few my self
