What is a safe level of power for the stock bottom end to handle?

250hp at the wheels I reckon. Bottom end should be good for more, but I think you're starting breaking CVs with more power.

What kinda times do these run with that much power? 1/4 mile, 0-100km/h, 60-100mph etc?

i have a microtech LT10-S with X4 box to run quad coils. it has been upgraded with 3 bar map sensor data logging etc. probably looking for $1000. you will possibly require a loom as i dont know if mine will suit.
if you wanted the turbo etc aswell i could give you a awesome deal |

13 second 1/4 mile times on 12/13psi easy. The previous owner of my car ran a 13.8 on 12psi with a slipping clutch.

Id be plenty happy with the power your making. Still cant get traction in 1st or 2nd which is hopeless, and just forget about the wet.
Im plenty interested in the Microtech, we just need to find out what turbo I have. So I took a few pics, as I couldnt see much at all. Sorry the pics arent great, but it was the best I could do considering the space. Also heres a pic of the vaf and ecu if someone could identify the 2; Also replaced the A pillar plastic And removed and replaced that ugly sticker

You'll probably need to remove some of the heat shields to find the ID plate on the turbo, also that sucks about the condition of the sticker on the ECU too, no idea what it might even be. However that is the standard GTX VAF you have there, most likely resistor modded to let the ECU deal with extra fuel. Also that's a real nice MS badge too, this little beast is looking better every day!

Ah cool, ill remove the heat shielding and take a look. Is it easy to remove?
I know! Its got some purple writing on it, as if its from a wreckers yard but its only numbers and letters...

I would think that it is running a Standard turbo as you would probably require a after market computer to run the vf10 setup nicely.
The vf10 is my old setup so it is off the car already. ill see if i can get some pictures this arvo. From memory the vf10 has a different compressor intake. I have a stainless intake pipe and pod filter that i had setup with the vf10 and microtech that removes the airflow meter. then just build a box around it Last edited by mcwilly; 30-01-2013 at 01:17 PM. That looks exactly like a vj20 turbo mate.. Has the right snout on the compressor side.
