JBL vs Rockford Fosgate
Hi Guys
I'm replacing the stock 5x7s in the front of the BA. here's my choice JBL GTO8627 for $166 fitted or $109 for the pair or Rockford Fostgate for $200 fitted or $135 for the pair Thoughts? |

Even better would be the JL 5x7" 120w 2ways, they absolutely rock in mine!
Its not that hard to install for an amatuer...

2nd ones will start clipping at high volumes. unless you are prepared to wire up an amp. which on a ba astina is a pain in the arse.

Ahhh yea the Rockfor Fosgates are pretty kickin, I personally prefer MTX, and even better are a pair of digital design if you can get your hands on them.
In the end its all on personal preference, what else you have and if your running and amplifier to them. |

Not in my experience,
I've had mine apart more times than I can count. Its one of the easier cars I've worked on. Apart from running new speaker wire into the doors. |

Door speakers are not that hard.Unless you have to wire them again, that is a pain in the arse in any car.
Make sure you check the depth of your original speakers too so your don't buy speakers that are too deep like i did :P will mean you have to make up spacers but ya should check it. |

BA isnt that hard to wire up. i did front doors, rear 6x9 & sub along with 4ch amp under the passenger seat in an afternoon. HU was the only pita seeing as i had the mess from the previous owner.
i'd recommend some 6.5" MTX components. not that difficult to DIY some spacers
