Hey guys and galls

I’m currently looking 4 a program manager that I can put/plug into a network and it can source all devices and there ID's and show produce it in a network diagram.

It has to be compatible with all types of service providers tho

hmm, ethereal & wireshark ring a bell for network analysis. Don't know if they can draw a diagram but pretty sure they'll find everything on there

Have used the performance monitoring which is great. Haven't tried creating maps from it though. The one that I know that will search the network is HP NNM if you configure it for auto discovery it will snmpwalk all devices in routing table. Uniformity with snmp strings is required otherwise you will need to manually discover a device but it will populate all interfaces and create maps showing connections between devices and display when they fail etc.

if this is still relevant, take a look at zenmap. its based on nmap and its free. I use it for checking firewall settings but it also does mapping
