Yeah I found it odd how I got quoted a few different prices.

The invoice says $111 per tyre + $20 fitting + $10 rotating and $6 disposal of the old tyres.
In the end I paid $260 cash for the 2 tyres fitted and balanced.
I cant complain at the price I paid and so far Im happy with their performance.

Now to find out their optimum pressure,
I think somewhere between 38-42 PSI should be about right,

I have never heard of them or seen them before.

So I looked up a review of them and found this

'I went to a small local place and got Hercules WR-1 Raptis tires. They said they were better than the tires that I had(Nankings). Um I don't think so. These are the worst tires ever.'

It looks like they are a cheap Chinese tyre,
So be careful with them, especially in the wet.
And get some Kumho KU31's next time.

yeah nankangs are pretty much the worst "performance" (if u can even call it that) tire ever made.. (source: ihad a set)
i think i found the reason why your tyre popped and the wall deteriated that drastically..
seriusly spend a bit of money on things that matter, or u might end up on ur roof in a ditch somewhere..

Bobjane and Marcoola mechanical reccomended them, and they are strong tyres I've seen ****ty Chinese tyres and these are definately not one of them they have a strong wall and don't allow my wheels to turn like ballet dancers on the road like the nexens did.

I'm surprised they weren't recommending the Maxxis instead, seeing they have sole distributorship and they are a good tyre. All the reps at work have them and swear by them.

how many plies does it have
the side wall
what are the plies made of? im just asking cus u sad it has a very good strong wall.. so im confused at how they deteriated like that
u cant comapre one company to another by the specifications as each company goes thru different methods for measuring
the only thing common between companies is the speed and load ratings.
as for the grip in wet/dry comparing kuhmos to nankangs off a spec sheet is like saying this orange is better than that apple

I got to experience the difference between cheap tyres and good ones today at the skid pan.
Marc let me have a drive of his car and all it wanted to do was slide the rear end out.
Where as I struggled to get the rear end of my car to slide.
In fact I had to use the hand brake to make my ass end slide.
Marcs car also had a rear strut brace as well.
But if thats the effect it has on a car I don't want one.

thats pretty much what a rear strut brace will do. you will get snap oversteer in dry and it will onset sooner in the wet.
