Sooooooo

Traviling on the M5 down to livo just past revesby and traffic slowed down fast cause of a accident ahead, which caused me to lock my brakes. Lucky I missed the car infront by moving to the right abit, but than bam, car hits me from behind and forces me into the median fencing :/

Poor little yellow

Ah ****

At least it's their fault, which means you shouldn't be out of pocket.

They wont write it off. My first car looked 20 times worse than this and they just fixed it. I was on a hill (steep hill) at trafic lights. I wasn't paying attention (Cause you know, happily stopped and waiting for traffic lights) and this huge ass 4x4 which was in front of my just rolled straight into me. And since my car was just a little lowered lancer you could actually see where the tow bar hit in the bonnet, it literally just bent in half :S

Scared the **** out of me. Happily waiting then theres a 4x4 in my face...

Anyways, hope it all works out!

That sucks
Writing it off comes down to if the cost to repair > insured value. If it's panel damage you should be alright but if there's chassis damage I don't like your chances

x2, seeing the early SP20's are now under $10k, cost of fixing up is getting to the point where its not worth it. These days its better off to write the car off then fix it, a sad truth I know

If this happened before the new laws in NSW about stat write offs than yeah they would of just written it off already, but now if they write it off you can't repair it.

Part of me hopes they repair it, part of me wants them to write it off :/
Damage is to the back, most of the drivers side due to the fencing, front bar, foglight and then factor in a whole car respray.

I hate to say it, I'd be very surprised if they fix it with rear damage - the boot floor will probably be crinkled/bent, and the rear sides would be a bit distorted. Possible damage to the chassis rail at the front as well.
