Why? He doesn't need all the extra stuff off the half cut, he needs a BPT engine package.

sorry, we just brought the last gtx engine know in australia for $1550 - probably will have to wait for another container or buy 2nd hand from someone else. what pr1mo said was right.

ECU - $200.00 USD
MOTOR - $1550

Half cut $1800-2200

Half cut will do and then you can sell all the pieces off it. Or you can rebuild the original motor to handle a turbo.

Parts required for engine:-
440cc injectors (new) $???
forged pistons $400
aftermarket ecu + tune $2000
turbo (new) $800
exhaust manifold (used) $100

hey guys, yeah im just looking for the engine package, i don't really want a half cut coz id be paying extra for stuff that i dont really want. i just want to get the engine into my car and get it all running pretty much in standard form and then it allows me to add onto it later on and slowly build it up.

where did u get yours from DJ? i had one lined up at Just Jap for $1600 then i called today and it had been sold already! not happy!

ill check out the laser site, thanx for the help, i will keep searching....

that was the one, sorry buddy

half-cut is your cheapest option dude - it's not a waste. you have a different ignition system it the BA than BPT engines, so a GTX ecu will not run in your car. if you plan on using the original dissy/coil system then you'll need a aftermarket ECU like a Mircotech or Wold 3D. ($15-2000 tuned)

why buy the engine ($1600) + ecu ($300) + ignition system ($???) - when you can buy a half cut for $18-2200?

do the math - same $$$$$

hey guys, thanks for your input, i spoke to the mechanic that i want to do the conversion and he basically said the same as DJ did, he said it would be easier to go with the halfcut and it will be faster and better for him to do it which in the end costs me less too and would have a better end result.
