Today i was sheeting my self during the hail storm haha. At one point it was almost JUST hail. Pea to marble and finally to peach pit sized hail. Somehow my car looks ok now. Still wet, so will see when it dries, but I was expecting much worse

Gave the cheap off the shelf maxxis (radial MA-V1) tyres a spin tonight. Bloody hell they grip.
Wheelspin off the line lasted half a second and then dug in and flung me forward.
Corners I found myself turning the wheel stupid amounts and getting slammed into the door but still going around the corner no skipping hopping sliding... Just around the corner. At ridiculous speeds.
Pretty chuffed.
According to other members they degrade quickly but so we'll see but for now I'm happy as Larry.

I took the car in for a 5000 km oil change today and chucked it on the dyno to see if all is well and it still managed to get 91.8KW ATW which is not too bad of an effort as the 1.8 has 92 KW at the flywheel and a SP20 98KW.
I was hoping for a little more but im happy with the end result, and it was hot, stuffy and humid when we did it.

My 1.8 FP-DE VS FS-ZE

Comparison of two different SP20 FS-DE VS FS-ZE

Yes its a great improvement over its pathetic effort at last years dyno day of 65 KW.

so looking at that, with VICS fully working, you yield 6kw as per the spike

paid for a set of Twin SU's, manifold & linkages for the Bluebird, all up posted was $138.75 So once they arrive, i'll get them rebuilt with new needles, floats, gaskets etc.

Can some one with a SP20 check and see if their VICS is open or closed at idle, after me stuffing around with it im not 100% that its connected the right way, looking at the power curve I think its right.
Easiest way to check is start the car watch the VICS actuator and turn the car off, you will see it move and hear it.
