Also was the grille for a 1.6/1.8 or an SP20?

Well in that case, as I mentioned you can manipulate the shape of the grille easily as its fibreglass; test fit the grille and mark the spots on the grille that are causing the grille not to fit properly. It might just be a case of sanding a few millimetres off each side of the grille, and if something goes wrong (hopefully shouldnt), as its fibreglass, you can go down to your local supercrap (supercheap), repco or autobarn and pick up some fibreglass filler and reshape the grille.

Just my 2c worth though

EDIT: If its for an SP20, modification is required as the 1.6/1.8 grille shape is different to the SP20

The ecarboy is only for the BJII, not the SP20. You will notice at the bottom of the grille that the BJII Grille comes to a different angle, see phildoughs photo of a replica AutoExe grille with a BJII bumper:

it was fairly easy, needed a notch in the top to fit around the horn bracket, and the drivers side needed to be filed down to fit properly, i'll re-do it one dy so it fits in nicer but at the moment, im happy
