Mazda Lantis 1996 Remove Rear Lights

I have obtained replacement rear lights ... can't work out have to remove the old ones.

Seems that I need to know how to 'release' the two pins. Suppose some sort of thump on the unit but don't want to damage the locators.

So please advise how to remove the units ... thanks

You can give them a thump, or squeeze them with pliers. A thump is better, as the pliers are more likely to damage the plastic plugs
