Pics speak a million words yeah?
But of a funny story, storm just came over my way, so the mrs sends me a text "how's the puppies" (they hate storms) naturally me being male replied "yeah the brakes are fine, on the table out the back under shelter out of the rain, pulled the table cloth over them so the rotors don't get rusty just in case the rain comes in" Ahahahahaha 5 mins later I realised she was talking about my dogs! Yay updated the right thread this time!

Well I had a spare hour thisarvo... So got the stock calipers all ready to come off (bolts undone), also mounted up the passenger side caliper, rotor and lines.
So great news for you all looking at doin the swap, the stock sp20 brake lines are perfecto (same size/thread type etc), the stock bolts are the same thread type as the Mazda 6bracket. An Mazda 6 bracket is the same thickness as the sp20 ones. So no need for longer bolts (just use the stock ones).... And yeah... That's about it. Mazda6 caliper and bracket weight is 6.5kg and the rotor weight was 8.5kg... Will weigh up all the stock sp20 stuff tomoz after the rest (drivers side) has been completed. Keep you guys posted! Stock: Mazda 6 (2008-present 300mm): Comparison: (there is no comparison ) Pics of the rotor and caliper mounted up don't do it justice... Will take some better pics tomoz with the rims back on, give you a better size comparison.

Btw... This is all kinda half rushed for now.
Just want to slap it all together an give it a test. Hence why I haven't even bothered to take off the pink writing on the rotors or paint the calipers... Lazy I know... But when I get a new set of pads and braided lines I will paint the calipers (black of coarse ) And Andy, hopefully if you end up dropping by tomoz it will all be done and I can take you for a test

Update! Spent an extra hour thismorning to finish off the swap.
Have only found one slightly annoying thing... Due to the different position of the brake line (further away from strut) it will no longer reach the brake line holder/clip on the strut... But other than that... Perfect! So no more progress lol, just got to bleed the brakes and it's ready to go. But everyone at home bailed... So I no longer have my pedal pumpin man Hopefully lunch or early arvo it will be 100% done. Stock caliper weight (with pads) - 5kg Stock rotor weight - 5kg 2008-present Mazda 6 calipers (pads) - 6.5kg 300mm rotor weight 8.5kg So it's a fair bit heavier but sure it's worth it Also notice the size difference in pads

After spending all of today out and not at home... Lol brakes have finally need bled and are all sweet!!
Pedal feel is slightest bit softer than stock but honestly not really noticeable at all. Just resurfacing the pads now... But already difference Is hugeeeeee! Everyone with an sp20 must do this!!! Lol

Will chuck my spare on tomoz and tell ya!
Think it will fit... Mabey.... Barely 17's will 100% fit tho. I got a ****e load of room between the caliper and rim. If stockies fit it's would look sick, rim would be completely filled
