Thanks for organizing a great day Ryan.
I think a lot of fun was had by all. My new tyres aren't so new anymore. I will upload the photos soon but I need to find a 4 pin to 6 pin firewire cable to upload the video off my camera. So that might have to wait till tuesday. |

Well, gotta say thats the most fun that I have had in a while, and Tash feels the same
Thanks again Ryan for organising another awesome event, variety of cars made for some great action I myself will be knocking on Option 1's door come tax time for some sticky kumho's, after a run in Phil's car, it made mine feel so inferior just cause of the tyres, but I indeed did have fun getting the arse to easily oversteer and into drift action

I must admit it was rather cool watching the HSV getting better at holding a slide as the day went on.
By the end of the day he was holding a drift around the whole track But watching the MX5 just made me want to buy another one. |

Apperently at one stage he did six laps drifting in one go. The mx-5 needed better tyres on the track as it kept getting too much understeer.

Dean's MX5 is the third MX5 I have driven on that skidpan and the most uncontrollable one I have driven. We later discussed suspension setups, and came to the conclusion that the settings were also wrong. I don't think it was solely the tyres at fault. although the are regular strret touring tyres. Dean also did say also that he wished he had brought his semi-slick tyres also. So with the Achilles tyres fitted, suspension settings changed, it'll be a weapon on the pan.

Yo, awesome day! I didn't get too many pictures taken, except on the circle work, as I commissioned my girlfriend to get the pictures towards end of day - I just couldn't get out of my car - too much fun. I'm at work so will upload more over coming days - stay tuned.
Yee-ha! [large - warning slow connections] Cheers, Steve.

I'm not surprised, my Mazda2 had great handling, and it was a DY, not even a DE.
