Oatie's 323 BJII
Hey guys,
This will be my "project" thread for my 02' 323 astina! I bought the car in January for $5700 with 125,000kms and had finally upgraded from my terrible 93' impreza! The very day I got it home: this of course didnt last very long, within the first few weeks my rims had finally turned up and now have them fitted along with king super lows, just got it home today! extremely happy with how it looks xxr530 17x8.25 205/40 (no camber bolts in the rear) These are only pics from my phone, and the car needs a wash.. but you get the point Last edited by oatie; 12-02-2014 at 11:21 PM. |

That's prolly about as definite as you will get. You can try ringing GSL Rallysport.
Buy from a proper store IMO that way if you dont get the right part as per Exedy site, its alot easier to return

I trust eBay with pretty much everything as it's normally cheaper, and if it's the wrong part u can just take it back or send it back and they generally send the right one, however if u have to send it back u gotta pay for postage

So my clutch came today finally!
The gearbox is out and just got the flywheel machined At work yesterday, put the new spigot bearing in it And bought 2 new cv input seals for the gearbox The guys at work are saying to just rattle the flywheel On but I wanted to get a secon opinion, should I go through The trouble of torqueing the bolts to the right specs Or just rattle the flywheel back on? Thanks guys! |

Torque 'em up!
Opinions may differ here, but i think torque them up. Realistically how much longer will it take to get a torque wrench and make everything spot on? after all, the fly wheel is a critical component, and you don't want those bolts to get sheared if you haven't tightened them to spec.

Stock flywheel isn't so bad, but definatley on light weight items torque them up to spec. Id prolly still torque them up tbh, more likely to get a better result.

plus if u have a good rattle gun it will shear the bolts off. (been there before) so just torque them up

Sweet, thanks guys.
I wanted to do it right but wasn't sure who to listen to, so I'll just torque them to be 110% sure they're right I believe the flywheel bolts are 100nm's + or - 2nm Can anyone confirm that for an FP-DE |
