(BG) GTi_RSi's 93 astina BG

howdy lads, heres the new ride that i picked up friday arvo! i know it's only a sohc version but it's an awesome little thing.

it's a 1993 mazda astina 323f bg 1.8l sohc. picking it up for 2k, which is pretty cheap considering there usual going prices on carsales, it did have a leak from the crank seal, but that was fixed before i picked it up. apart from that it's all good, there is a little bit of clear coat peeling on the boot wing sides but theyre detachable and easy to fix up. the rest of the paint is good condition 1 dint just above the fuel cap door but can be popped out without damaging the paint, no scratches whatsoever. not my favourite colour though.

i have fitted my old corolla's 15" auscar wheels with 205/50 firenza ST-03's and sony xplod cd player, have installed a pod filter yesterday as the original was very very dirty, it has 5% tint on rear windows i believe and 35% on fronts, soon to come are a nice sports muffler and lowered springs. basic stuff really, nothing over the top. i love the pop up lights though, i personally hate the power steering and air con :P. but thats just my own driving prefferences.

tell me what you think?

cheers guys! i see nobody has noticed the a pillar mould is missing. funny story, attempted to get into the passenger side of the car and was holding onto it for support, it just crumbled away. did some research on here and found it's quite a common EXPENSIVE problem .

great looking car, grab some lowered springs at some stage. those A pillars are going to be exxy too, start saving now as the car will look really terrible without one/both of them.

got the fibreglass a pillar moulds, 2 for $50 left and right, removed my rhs one and it also just crumbled to bits. looks alot cleaner now.

also had exhaust fitted today, sounds nice, not too loud yet it has a nice tone inside and outside of the car. very pleased with how things are already coming along.
