[color=#000000ost_uid0]Hey guys just wanted to ask those of you who have SD'd thier front doors...did you SD the very outer shell or just the inner metal shell? What did you use to seal up your service holes? How did you SD? Paint and then Pad or other way around? Did you then seal the door back up with that plastic? Also what lenth RCA's do you use to get from you HU to the rear...i measured just on 5m...but i would have though 4 would be fine...any thoughts? Btw its for a Lantis (the best one!!!)

[color=#000000ost_uid0]i deadened mine aages ago but I'm going to re-do it.
i did the outer wall with flashtac and sound deadening foam, sealed the service holes up with mdf and then did the same ( flashtac and foam) on the interior side of the inner wall. *I didnt put that plastic back on. *was too much hassle just getting the black tar off in the first place !!! as for wire lengths, *i cant remember. * maybe 5 just to be sure. *My system has a single data cable which goes to a sound processor unit in the boot. From there there's about 2foot of rca from that to the amps. but i know there's about 30m of speaker wire installed in my car !!! Dave[/colorost_uid0] |
