Building gauge mount

How do you make a gauge mount from fibreglass , me and a mate of mine want to build a mount for his F6 to house a boost gauge and a AFR gauge . Can anyone tell us where to start or know someone that does this kind of work in Brisbane.

Where's it going? A pillar? or centre of the dash somewhere?

It's not hard to do - you can stretch a tshirt over a gauge cup and use fibreglass resin to make it solid, then just bog and sand it.

Centre of the dash there is a removable panel above the radio which the they will be mounted on.So do you just use resin to make it over the material?

Yeah, just resin and catalyst, and it'll set into the material you use.

Dont the F6's already have a gauge mount ontop of the dash as standard?

If not you can buy them off ebay...

LOL i was going to ask a similar question very soon.

I'll still make a thread because it's more specific and i'll have to draw up a diagram.

No need to get aggro - you didn't state model, and you may not have known that one existed. I'll lock this if you continue.
