Instrument Cluster

Hey guys,

Found an SP20 instrument cluster on ebay. Did a quick search, couldn't find any previous posts about this.

Are the odo km's on the ECU? So if I plugged a new dash cluster in, the k's would show up the same? Or would it changed? As the one on ebay has done 81k?

I'm not trying to change the k's to look lower than what they are... Just want the funky white dials and red backlight

Thanks guys.

Pete

Yeah, stupid system. You can wind back your k's by changing the cluster...

I never tried an SP20 cluster back in the day, but so long as you don't get an automatic one, you should be fine.

Yeah, Im pretty sure that the US guys swap over clusters to the Protege5 and MSP (white background) clusters, so cant think why it would not work.

Cheers.
