Took the car for a drive out to see the open flood gates at Wivenhoe dam then came home over Mt Glorious/Mt Nebo road.
That has to be the best driving roads around Brisbane.
Its been a couple of years since I last did that trip and the road has been improved heaps.
Id be keen to do it again if anyone else want to make a day trip.
We got some amazing shots at sunset, I'll post them up later.

Excellent Phil!

Monique and I would be up for a day trip in that area and there is a bit to do around Somerset and Kilcoy too as alternatives. I'm sure there are a some others that would want to head out that way as it has a while for many

For my car, I finished some projects and posted them in my project log:

I did a run out to the flood gates this afternoon, drove through Fernvale at 2.05pm, and got back into town at 4.30pm!!

Also picked up the TRX wheels this morning too, bloke threw in 2 extra tyres, so basically drove from Caboolture to home with 7 wheels in the back of the Laser Now to give them a good clean up, and see if the old boy can polish up the lips

The traffic was crazy, some people would have waited for the best part of three hours to escape, it took us about an hour, im glad I parked early and walked.

Sounds like a great idea, we must arrange it,
There are lots of great winerys, produce markets and such out there, it would make for really nice day out.

Totalled it (I'm guessing anyway):

Was waiting to make a right turn on my way to work, and some guy just came up behind me a drilled the car. Barely even hit his brakes, and I'd been stopped for a good 5-10 seconds before he hit me. Wide open stretch of road, I can only imagine he was messing with the radio or texting on his phone. Didn't get to ask, since he also got hit by the car behind him, and his back seemed to be a bit messed up. He didn't move at all, firies came and ripped out his door and put him in the ambo. Though at least that meant I got an actual police report and he was completely at fault. Bring on the write-off cheque!

I can't imagine his company will pay to fix this, underbody is bent all the way into the tire and both passenger doors and the hatch are tweaked pretty good, so I'm guessing the frame is way out of whack.

Was going to sell it anyway in the next couple months, this is easier.
