So the noise has now stopped... Beats me what it was... If it returns i'll go to a mechanic. Must not be too serious.

Thanks to BG for helping via text and Jess for being annoyed via Facebook. No thanks to dane who hasn't accepted me as a friend yet.. Common on mannnn! haha

In the oven, it melts the glue type stuff and its REALLY fiddly but you gotta pry it open while its hot since its melted. Same way to seal it back up.

I should of took pictures and wrote up a how to. Its really not hard once you figure it out.

Pictures don't do it justice.

What i did was, remove bumper
Unbolt headlight/ remove all bulbs etc
There is this TINY little silver screw that needs to be removed since it holds in the reflector. Un do that
Set oven to about 70 (My oven is huge as you can see, so i set it to 100)
Chucked in light, left for about 10 minutes making sure it wasn't on fire every few minutes.
Got it out, burn yourself. Get a flat bladed screw driver and get it under these tabs. They are noticeable when you remove the headlights.
Pull hard it will come apart.
Unscrew the surround thingy, just 2 screws.
Paint.

Do the same thing again for the other light.

Go back and do what i just said in reverse. Except it won't fit shut properly, so put it back in oven, heat up glue, get it back out and stick it closed.

What took me the longest was putting on the friggen bumper again. haha

Oh while i was waiting for the paint to dry i buffed all the clear parts. Mine didn't come up real good, previous owner some how burnt them while buffing it i would say and one has a split.

I also chucked the black bit in the oven again so it would go shiny and cure the paint for about 10 minutes before i put it all back together

Haha, glad I could be of assistance Ben!
And they look niiiiiicee

And nick, you don't need to use anything to re seal!
Just push together as much as possible by hand. Back in the oven... Heat them up til
It's all gooey again and press together the last bit til the clips pop in.

And see Marc! NSW is better... If you were down here myself or Dane would have blacked them for you! Lol

Hahaha yet i did 100% of the work lol.

I liked the part where you said go down to bunnings and get some ESP paint primer and i was sitting in front of my car with no bumper or headlights, jacked up, bolts and screws everywhere.. I was going "Uhhh don't think i can" Sandpaper worked just as well. One of them bubbled a bit but my lenses are that **** you can't actually see it haha

Just another quick question, (sorry for invading your thread Ben!) did you use heat proof paint or just normal paint for the headlights?

(I promise this is the last question I ask =D)

Oh, and thanks for the heads up BG, I was worried I might have needed some silicone or something!
