longer 5th gear replacement for F series box?

with the car going into Hart Transmissions soon i was wondering if the 626 5th gear trick will work on my F series box that is getting fixed up. If not, is there any other suitable gear i can get from another gearbox to make 5th longer?

EDIT:

Not sure if a 626 gear will fit a F series box. 626 use G series.

Find out what the ratio is for your 5th gear. This sort of information was available in the brochures when the cars where released. Have a look and see what it is. Now so you have some point for comparison, I just checked my Ford orange book, and it has the KE F series 5th gear listed at 0.775:1.

Cheers, Gav.
