BA Drivers internal door latch not working
Hi,
I've trawled the forum looking for a possible solution but none of the problems seem to match mine. Recent repair to driver side (after a Hi Ace van racing stripe was added while the car was parked). 1996 - BA Series II (I think). Astina Shades 5 dr hatch. (Similar model shown below - not the actual car) The driver's door internal latch does not un lock/open the door. Have to wind down the window and open from the outside latch. The central locking works just fine from form the armrest switch, operating all door locks. Any thoughts ? |

The bottom rod there is the door latch actuating link. Sometimes it can pop out or snap from the plastic locators on either end. Last edited by ghetto3; 02-09-2014 at 08:10 AM. |

Thanks guys for the fast responses.
Had the car repaired last week - I wonder if the repair has knocked the rod out of whack. Drivers side was repaired... I'll see how I go with this angle. Last edited by Soley; 03-09-2014 at 08:04 PM. Reason: Updated. |
