Injectors, Fuel pump or distributor problem

gidday all. sorry for the long post. just trying to put as much info as i can

i have a problem with my series 3 ba astina. not sure whether it's the injectors clogged, a fuel pump goin bad or the distributor coil.

will try to give as many symptoms as i can.

when cold starts ok, then when warm on highway if i back off for any reason it starts to lose power, chugs then will come good for a little while then does it again when i back of. when i get to town and sit at lights it bogs down when accelerating then suddenly will clear itself then bog down again. If i stop car go do something and start the car all good till i get back on the highway for a while

Yesterday i stopped on the side of the road for a piss (left car running) and when i took off the car was really sluggish. it cleared itself a little but was pretty rough the rest of the way home ~5k's.

Today was driving everything going good, had to back off for road works on a steep hill, sat there for ~1-2mins took off and car was very rough. On way home all good till i got to a hill in town.

edit: car had done ~213,000ks

Will add that i am bad for letting the fuel tank get real low before filling up. I was also using std unleaded for a fair while, have gone back to 98.

Have changed fuel filter, air filter, plug leads, dizzy cap and rotor, has fairly new plugs. Have also put a bottle of nulon injector cleaner (only thing that has helped) also so far half a bottle of lucas injector cleaner.

So i would like to know whether i should get my injectors cleaned or if it's something else, can anyone help please, thanks in advance, coneman

sounds like fuel pump stuffed from picking up rubbish in the bottom of the tank -- still might have pressure but not enough flow

remove rear seat -lift carpet up undo cover screws and remove lines etc more screws and it is out - should cost about 80ish take it to repco as they will ask pump diameter - if you can undo screws and solder wires it willl be easy
