clutch pedal 'clicking' noise

so much drama with the clutch lately and after replacing the master and slave cylinder .. another problem came up.

ok, so few days after i got my master cylinder replaced, the clutch pedal started 'clicking' when it's pressed half way. every time i press the clutch down it'll click once no matter if the car's running or not or even ignition is off or i'm in neutral! but if i don't let the clutch out fully and push the clutch back in again, the clicking noise will not be there. so it only happens when i fully press the clutch pedal and the "click" comes in the half way mark when pushing down .. no noise when releasing it.

it happened few days after i replaced my master .. then a week after the slave failed and now i got the slave replaced as well and the noise is still there. HELP!

the actual pedal makes a noise? not the clutch itself?

have you looked under the dash to see if anything looks out of place?

well it makes the noise when i push in the pedal .. so everytime i change gear it'll click. but the noise sounds like it's from the engine bay because when i parked my car on the side of road to check it, the click noise is more obvious with the door open

another trip to the mechanic. lol
they didn't hear the click? or is it ticking?

throw out bearing in the clutch damaged? especially doing gear changes with no fuild in the salve.

i guess so .. i gave that guy a call and he said he'll give it a check since the noise came out after changing the master cylinder. it is pretty loud and obvious so i don't know how they can missed that.

not sure about the bearing .. the click is not only during gear change, but even when i turn the ignition off and stick it into neutral and just press the clutch pedal... "CLICK"!

um .. i've just found a solution (it kinda work but..) by adjusting the clutch pedal free play, the more free play the pedal has, the further the "clicking" noise comes up.. which means if the pedal has NO free play, the noise comes up when the pedal is depressed half. however if i adjust a lots of free play, the noise will come up when the pedal is flat .. and if i adjust even more free play on the pedal, the noise will be disappeared. but the problem is it'll have too much free play .. so i was thinking the noise is from the master cylinder either the pushrod or the spring as the amount of free play can change the position of "clicking"

I know with Hondas theres always a slight clicking noise but its just normal, if you are really concerned about it you can always spray lubricant on the joints (of the clutch pedal) but its nothing to be really worried about (unless its a different clicking sound to the one i know off)
