Before getting too excited about pulling the switch apart check that you have +12V on the white wire in the plug. No volts then the switch isn't the problem.

Lacking a test light this may prove difficult, otherwise I would have done so already. I'll just have to wait till the weekend and buy a test light then, I'm constantly wishing I had one.

get a multimeter. more expensive but so much more useful. i couldn't do half the wiring work i do without one

EDIT: if you want a cheap DIY test light grab a red tail light (i think they're 12V) and solder one wire to the base terminal and one to the side. wow, one test light

sorry to bring this thread up......but i've just got a set of lantis folding mirrors....and the switch don't work....took it apart and a bit of the copper track has come away.....tried to fix but its not happening.....any idea how to get a new JDM switch or make my own with a UK switch

the seller is getting another one for me now.....i managed to unsolder the part which folds the mirrors in and wire it standalone for now till the other arrives....


so cheers anyway but nvm....unless you want pictures to see how you could make them yourself or something?
