try using a heat gun untill the glue melts then it should come of easylie, leaving a bitch of a cleaning to do but at least no paint would come of. be advised but i never tryd removing the pinstripes that came from factory, this is how i removed other stuff like vinyls and stickers anyway i hope it helps

I've also heard of using a caramel wheel as being the easiest way.
basically a rubber thing that grips the stcker as it spins and pulls it away from the paint. I've never used one, but have heard they work well.

Or use Prepsol, it's designed to be used to clean auto duco.
Rub it over the stripes a few times to loosen the glue before scraping with a plastic spatula. Then clean with a cloth moistened with more prepsol. BTW don't use a heat gun with this stuff.
