Getting there, getting there.

got some bits ticked off my list.

still thinking about which engine oil I'm going to run... was contemplating just going nulon, but don't really want to skimp out on anything. Not saying nulon is ****, just thinking about my other options.

Everything is going pretty well. A rattle gun makes a world of difference! especially with stubborn cv nuts, ergh.

Will be posted, going to be working a lot this week though.. : / will be trying to get some stuff done during the arvo's/night

So!

Ordered some more bits for the astina...

Can tick off
rear engine mount
drivers side mount
front mount
steering tie rod ends (don't like to keep thread on removal apparently)

Out of both cars only the gearbox side mount was salvageable... everything else was showing signs of wear, cracking or just completely f'ed. (i.e rear mounts and drivers mount)

My garage looks like hiroshima in the 40's. Sht everywhere. Cant figure out how that happened... but it did!

Also struggling something fierce to get my old rear mount out of the bay... will have to rearrange my car stands.. looks like i need to drop the subframe to get to the bolts... agghhhh. Worst positioned engine mount ever...

Ill share some pics shortly will some general pictures/mess.

might have been new at the time dennis, but the other mounts were fubar'ed which probably ruined the rear one pretty quick, its not too stuffed but is starting to crack, so i got a new one sorted anywhos.

Did u change the rear mount? Its really ****ing me up atm... if my car stands were perched on part of the subframe it would be fine... but alas they are... urgh...

Hey man onc u have the subframe down its ok to get it in u might new to bend a 17mm spanner too, just to get in there... It's a ****ed job. But once u have it in use a car jack to reinstall the subframe a it's a heavy ba3tard if I lived in nsw I'd come give u a hand... With two people it's easier

So my shifter bush set arrived in the mail from Qford today.
Set of MS-01F from dan shouldnt be too far down the track.

Should be able to get everything together tonight, hopefully get it running, have all the bits and pieces to make her work, a mate coming round a bit later this arvo and hopefully all smiles!

Only issue with the whole thing is that the compressor for AC is different from the hardtop to my hatch, so the AC lines in the hatch dont match up and fit the new motor... rather then switch the compressor (because the on my astina was rooted) im going to just get the lines sorted when i eventually take the car to get a regas.

Left in the wake of the swap, ill need to get the guards rolled, car fully aligned, the car detailed, my tyres swapped, and some coilovers in the not too distant future till i can sit back with a bev and be happy!
