Wouldnt you need to get a new HVAC unit too if your planning to get the SP20 trim? Only because of the following:

BJ1 radio surround

SP20 radio surround

easier to just get the BJ1 Sport20 dashboard trim from Japan through rupe... also silver and looks pretty much the same as the SP20's, except your controls will fit through the holes perfectly!

as for the centre console, you will need to change the hand brake handle for it to fit properly... other than that, it all goes in!

How do you change the handbrake handle? and where will you find a handbrake cover from the BJII's (obviously without going to a wrecking yard)?

i didn't know there was a BJ1 sport20 dash, i'll see if rupe has one, or keep an eye out. and the center yer i know about having to change the handbrake but that's not going to be a problem unless the mounting points don't line up but i couldn't imagine it being different though i could be wrong.

does the bj2 sp20 steering wheel fit the bj1 with out having to change the wiring for the airbag?

Damn, I would love that BJ1 surround and climate control panel and would be willing to swap for my SP20/BJII if the cable hookups for the climate controls would swap. Also have the silver window control panels and they are for left hand drive. I like the perforated black on that BJ1 radio surround since I just black'd out my interior some...............question for TheMan, are the climate control panels swappable in this case?

Radio surrounds are slightly different at the bottom between LHD and RHD. You can make them fit but best to start with the correct ones

Mine is LHD and the pic I quoted are both LHD. HAIGHIE, is yours LHD? If not then I wouldn't care to make it fit. I'll just have to get a BJ1 perforated one that is LHD from whatever market they came that way. Still don't know if the cabling would be the same either.
