Timing Belt for the BJ's
Hey Ya'll,
Gonna get one of the old boys mechanic mates to do the timing belt (and the other seals just as a precaution) seeing mine is now overdue (by 17,000kms). Just wonderind does anyone know the product code for the timing belt/seal kit for the BJ SP20's? It Prolly wont get done for another couple weeks, so is not much of a great concern. Cheers

which seals?
you'd be wanting a timing belt/pulley kit one with the new tension spring and new idle pulley

howdy do marcaboo, ring mazda to get the code - easiest way i'd reckon.
when i had my timing belt done in jan, they changed the seals. it's apparently the normal procedure. then again, i had some dimwitted idiots do mine, so who knows.

you shouldn't need to do the tensioner.
talking with mazda they rarely need to do them. they normally do some spring worth about $10 on nearly every BJ they do. and with all the timing belts I see replaced at work we rarely do a tensioner. it is however a good idea to spend the bit extra if you wish and do everything while it is apart. which is why people like dayco put out kits with all that in it.
