Stereo Harness/ISO for 1994 BA Hatch
Hi guys i've just got a few questions about aerpro harnesses. I've got a 1994 BA Hatch and i'm going to install my Alpine CDA-7894 H/U. Ideally I'd prefer to just get a wiring harness so I dont have to do all the cutting and joining especially if i'm not taking the plastic surrounds out. Anyway i've had a look on the Aerpro site and come up with 2 possible options:
a) Get a wiring harness which fits Alpine h/u or b) Get a harness adaptor and cut that rather than the stock wires. Based on Aerpro site, the APP8ALPH suits 16 pin Alpine h/u but they've only listed CDA-9815,9813,TDA-7592R models. I had a look at my h/u and its 16 pin. I think the models around that same time used the same wiring harness. Can somebody confirm this? Otherwise I can just get the harness adaptor AP7901F but i'm not sure if this is the correct part or not. At the end of the day i dont even know if its worth putting the stock h/u back in when i sell the car. Who wants a cassette anyway? My H/u is old and prob not worth pulling it out again but its just a thought. Finally i dont know what the code is to the cassette deck so was wondering if there is a way to find out apart from going back to the dealer. They prob wouldn't have that info now anyway. Cheers guys. Trev |
