[ABOUT] Trader: Rupewrecht (+ Your Shipment Information!)

Hey peoples

You'll notice in this section that a few posts will pop up with things for sale.

New and Used performance parts for:

• BA Astina Hatch and Hardtop, and Protege
• BG Astina Hatch, Sedan and Familia
• BJ Astina Hatch and Protege Sedan

I have contacts in japan that enable me to purchase things off Yahoo Japan, meaning that all sorts of things we never see here are available to you for the first time.

I'm not really doing this for profit, just enough to cover my costs, really. I'm just a nice guy!

How it will work:

• I'll post up a few items a week.
• If you're truly interested in something, contact me/leave a post in the thread.
• If you want the item, i'll place a bid on the item for you.
• i'll bid to a limit you set, and if you win the auction, i'll require full payment of the item within 7 days - either via Bank Transfer or Paypal (+3% for paypal)
• Once it's arrived in Melbourne, it'll be shipped to you (or pickup from vic) at extra cost.
• All items are sold as-described, no refunds except in special cases.

Costs involved in buying an item:

• the purchase price
• agents commission (min AUD$10 per item)
• my commission - 15% or AUD$15, whichever is greater
• postage to my agent in japan,
• freight to Australia via container (or EMS which costs extra btut wll get stuff here quicker)
• import duty,
• GST
• postage to you

Rough Price Guide:

Basically, double the final sale price plus a bit.

The prices listed are just a guide - the actual price depends on size, weight, and exchange rate.

Other Things:

• Some items will be listed as JPN in the header, others AUS. Anything AUS is already in Australia

• Items will take 6-10 weeks to arrive, depending on how quickly a container is filled. The more you buy, the quicker that is

• Any listing that disappears from the traders section means that it has been sold/been removed/expired from yahoo japan and is now unavailable...if i can be bothered

• anything with {common} in the title is something that is frequently available on Yahoo Japan, and can be purchased at pretty much any time

All other items are only listed for about 6 days, unless unsold and relisted, so be quick!

• Don't leave it until the last minute to ask me to bid on something, as you might just miss out.

• Have an idea of how much you want to bid, as there could be other people wanting the same item.

• ANYTHING IN HERE IS NOT OFF MY CAR , mike :P

any questions, ask away

cheers
Daniel

A wreck would take the greater part of a container so unless you intend importing lots and lots of other parts to fill it then it's not realy worth doing. Even then you would need to pay someone in Japan to find, collect, store and pack the parts into the container.

Dan and myself were having a look a couple of weeks ago, you can get a whole BA Astina Hatch for under $800 in full working order.. The only thing is that you have to pay to cut it in half and then pay to get it over here.. It seems a shame to murder a car like that..

But when you front cut you can stack them verticaly. You can then fit 5-6 in a container making the whole thing more cost effective. You still have to buy the car, get it to a yard, cut, pack and dispatch. End of the day you need a wrecking yard in Japan to send you the goods. Then once you have them you need to sell them, it's a major investment.

and you're looking at about $1k to cut it up and have it stored until you can chuck it in a container.

for a BA, it's not worth it. i did the math, and unless you have people wanting everything from it, it just doesnt add up that well

hence why all you see is predominantly performance front cuts, as there's a ready market for them IE SR20DET/BPT/etc

Constuctive feedback,
It may be fruitfull if you check the status of your sale items from time to time. Once they have been sold your posts should be updated.

DFYII was looking at 1500 for an engine only, or 2700 for front cut of same but with 3 month wait.

Rough prices, I only asked for roughly.

forgive my ignorance but are you primarily selling parts for older 323's or more recents one like the bj serries. keep us posted at a later date i wouldnt mind purchasing some performance and handling goodies.

another thing how does our exchange rate compare to the japanesses economy, will it be cheaper to get stuff from japan or the us. And what sort of stuff will you be getting?

Once again forgive my ignorance im just trying to work out if your service will be relevent to me at a later date

Primarily BA parts at the moment, but looking to get into BG and BJ parts too. the sort of things that come up are the sort of things i've posted in the threads. if you want something particuular i can look out for it, but no guarantees it'll come up.

it's usually cheaper to buy things off yahoo japan (and get them shipped via me) than buying thru someone who's already imported the bits.
but you're limited to whatever people want to sell
