I'm just doing a fairly simple swap - all the KF stuff onto the bare KL = done.

So this happened.
...and that makes Astina #5. Automatic trans and dead engine fail, but otherwise this is a treasure trove of great parts. JDM front lip, Mazdaspeed/KYB adjustable shocks, Mazdaspeed/Eibach springs, Whiteline rear swaybar, Whiteline strut brace, plus a heap of other little stuff that'll sort out the The Substitute. Oh, and a custom exhaust...but not so sure i want a loud exhaust on this one. And as of yesterday, the grey one has the following from the burgundy one - MS shocks and springs, Whiteline swaybar, camber bolts, rear tail light....and a ****ty 'that looks pretty close' front end wheel alignment (which isn't close enough!) I was going to replace the door mirrors...but i'm just going to swap the whole door as the door glass is actually scratched on the outside. The burgundy one has good tint and good glass. Interestingly, even though they're the same era/series of BA (F1), the grey one doesn't have ABS but the burgundy one does. Weird. Going to get a cost to sway the rear window from #5 to The Substitute as i CBF removing the tint.

That's scary not weird with no ABS.
Rupe---I'd check behind the Vin plate to make sure it's not welded in place ? Never heard of any NON V6 powered BA even eunos 500 with out ABS. |

Must be real early models I've never seen one without it. As far as my memory goes it was standard with the V6's but knowing Mazda's history they possibly didn't make it standard still later. It would stop fine with out it had decent brakes for a wet 1300KG sedan.

Yeah i assumed it was standard for the V6, but it's definitely original. It's a S1, but can't remember how early.
The I4 i have doesn't have it so I'm used to it.

yes well Early S1's I learnt when shopping had NO colour handles as well.
Mine was S1 but 1995. But I remember the one was early model I tested it had ABS no colour handles was 94 build but IT WAS AUTO. I still think it's one of the best shaped cars mazda ever produced. Might be least practical. but it's still sexy as. every time I see a clean one I stop and look. just realised that passion rose one will be same colour as yours - I think or is it still multicolour |

Actually i've seen 94 models with body colour handles. Not many, but i have seen a few. Whether or not they came like that or were an option i don't know. |

So, update time for The Substitute:
- Mazdaspeed shocks and springs installed. ~30mm lower and a bit firmer. - Adjustable camber bolts installed in the front - Whiteline rear sway bar installe (but it's upside down...) - rear windows swapped over (as it's easier than removing the tint!) - broken tail light replaced. - interior mirror tightened and rubber brace added - wheel alignment to Whiteline specs. - drivers' seat replaced - temp rego renewed So all that's left to do before RWC is: - swap the doors (for the tint and broken mirrors) - swap the wheels - replace the foglight - swap the boot to the white one i have Maybe this weekend, but i'm not counting on it.

Do VIC roads care about body panels matching etc.
Here in NSW if more then I think it's 30% is a different colour or you two tone or change colour you have to tell the RTA or RMS now other wise you get a fine or some crap. Because I know of people being warned for Black bonnets etc |

http://whiteline.com.au/images/artic..._39%28b%29.jpg Same as that, apart from even toe on the front, and less camber on the rears (due to no camber bolts) Apparently they do - no more than two colors. Glad i checked. No biggie though, as the boot would have been an easy swap back.

Achieved last weekend:
- OEM stereo reinstalled - front speakers replaced with ones that work - front door trims replaced - fixed gauges cluster - replaced a few switches - replaced the broken dash vent - replaced broken dipstick - replaced broken door mirrors - procrastinated about replacing the windows. Basically all that's left is the windows, and the rear speakers. New wheels and tyres tomorrow though

how many cars is that now rupe - at one time. Are you at the insane level, that's 2 or 3 or more per individual cars registered to the one address. I think you need to buy 1 more and get them all running at once.
You only need then is a VW type 2 for parts transportation with RUPEWRECHT imports on the side |
