No.
Well actualy the gearbox does't fit the engine the bell housing fits the engine. The B6 may have the same gearbox but the bell housing will be different.

i think cosmo was trying to say the gearbox could fit but the bellhousing won't

mate i'd be wondering how long a b6 box would last on the kf even if you did get it to fit. you don't want to go to the trouble of a custom bell housing only to break the box a couple of months down the track

The end of the gearbox that mates to the engine is different between the B Series engines (B6, BP etc), and the K series (KF, KL etc)

The B6 box will NOT work, as the bolt patterns are different.

You will need a gearbox from a V6 engined car. Either an BA Astina, a GE 626/MX6, or any Eunos 30X/500/800.

The G25M-R 5-speed transmission is available for the K series engine and the B series engines. The internals are the same but they have different bell housings to fit the different engines.
They appear to be the same but they are different.
You would need to find a transmission from another k series V6 I.E.

thanks

i am not getting the kf v6 to buy here
so i was just wandering if the b6 gearbox would work
i guess automatic for life
people in Trinidad and Tobago hardly use mazda v6's and hardly modify mazda
engines on the whole except for rotary's
no mechanic wants to modify them at all
everything is either nissan sr20 or rb25 ,26 or civics
where is the love for mazda
where is the love

no it can not as the gearboxes bolt up differently as the bellhousing is different.

i don't know if this applies to you but we have a kf-de (australian delivered version) and a kf-ze(japanese version)

the ze isn't detuned as the de is. that means a different intake manifold and a different ECU.

like i said i don't know if this applyes to you but it may be that you've got an jap import. in which case, i would be grinning about now.
